So, we ported over 102 D-I-D's to a new T1/PRI circuit today. No problem with the sequential D-I-D's, which route to their respective 3 digit extensions. Need some help in pointing two non-sequential numbers that used to be on discreet analog lines.

Our main (published) number was on analog. Let's call it 651-###-7570). Now, it rings over to the Auto Attendant. I'd like it to ring over to our Hunt Group at ext. 450.

Our fax line was also on an analog line at 651-###-7578 . I'd like that to ring to an ATA at ext. 304 (realizing there may be fax compatibility issues running fax through the NBX.

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Dave

Hello Dave,

Basically, we need to map the inbound DID to appropriate extension.
How many digits are you expecting?

Assuming you are expecting 4:

You need to add something similar to the following:

PreTranslator Create 1 4Digit DDI 4Digit Internal
/ PreTransId Entry Digits
/ ---------- ----- ------
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 1 7570
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 2 7578

/ PreTransId Entry OperId Operation Value
/ ---------- ----- ------ --------- -----
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 1 1 replace 450
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 2 1 replace 304

Give me a call when you get a chance, I am terrible at explaining the dial plan!

Hey Rocky,

Thanks for the quick response!

We're using 3 digit extensions and have this already in our dial plan:

PreTranslator Create 1 4Digit DDI 3Digit Internal
/ PreTransId Entry Digits
/ ---------- ----- ------
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 1 1
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 2 2
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 3 3
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 4 4
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 5 5
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 6 6
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 7 7
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 8 8
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 9 9
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 10 0

Given that, how would you account for those "new" numbers?

Dave

P.S. I'd dig into this further myself, but my brain is fried from porting over the voice and data lines. VPN with an important client and our WAN to a remote office remain...

See Below:

PreTranslator Create 1 4Digit DDI 3Digit Internal
/ PreTransId Entry Digits
/ ---------- ----- ------
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 1 1
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 2 2
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 3 3
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 4 4
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 5 5
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 6 6
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 7 7
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 8 8
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 9 9
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 10 0
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 11 7570
PreTranslatorEntry Create 1 12 7578

Then:

/ PreTransId Entry OperId Operation Value
/ ---------- ----- ------ --------- -----

PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 1 11 replace 450
PreTranslatorOperation Create 1 1 12 replace 304

You will need to make sure the Trunk extensions are a member of the pretranslator you are adding the code to.

If you run into any problems, Give me a call tomorrow to discuss.

The good news is; that didn't break anything. The bad news is, it didn't work, either. Those numbers have a different prefix from our D-I-D block, if that matters.

What timezone are you in? I'll try to give you a call tomorrow.

thanks again,
Dave
